Statement on the Encampment in Montreal

CUJS unequivocally denounces the unauthorized encampment at Victoria Square in Montreal

This act fuels antisemitism by promoting hatred against Jews, Israelis, and Jewish students. We are deeply concerned about the spread of antisemitism from campus onto public property.

The lack of decisive action towards the encampment on university campuses has emboldened those who wish to bring their anti-Israel intimidation and antisemitic views into our public spaces, and this cannot be tolerated.

We demand the encampment's immediate removal and urge city officials to prevent furthur hatred against Jews.
